On Thursday, 28 July, Gazprom International Managing Director Valery Gulev received a delegation from the PetroVietnam Oil and Gas Group headed by its President and General Director Phung Dinh Thuc.
The Vietnamese delegation also included PetroVietnam Vice President Nguyen Tien Dung, Board of Directors Member Vu Khanh Truong, International Contracts Management Department Manager Tran Duc Chinh, and other company employees.
The Russian delegation was represented by Gazprom zarubezhneftegaz acting CEO Yuri Skok, Deputy CEO Edward Shevchenko, and Gazprom International and Gazprom zarubezhneftegaz employees.
The parties discussed preparations for the signing of a Memorandum on the development of Blocks 05-2 and 05-3 offshore Vietnam with the participation of Gazprom. The Memorandum will be signed between PetroVietnam and Gazprom.
In addition, the delegations discussed preparations for the signing of a Training Cooperation Agreement between PetroVietnam and Gazprom, which is planned already in September 2011.
The parties also discussed the possibility to jointly develop oil and gas projects in the third countries.
