The joint operating company Vietgazprom has completed tests on the second objective of the exploratory well VGP-113-BV-3X in the Bao Vang structure.
The tests have revealed the presence of recoverable reserves of hydrocarbon gas and condensate. According to these tests, the inflow of gas amounted to 104,500 cubic metres per day and 7.32 cubic metres per day of condensate per 9.5mm of connection pipe, with no carbon dioxide or hydrogen sulphide.
The company is planning very soon to start testing a third objective, selected as a result of the geophysical studies carried out in August.
The joint operating company Vietgazprom is drilling the exploratory well VGP-113-BV-3X within the scope of the Oil-and-Gas contract for block 112, signed between Gazprom, the Vietnamese National Oil-and-Gas Group Petrovietnam, PVEP Corporation for Oil-and-Gas Prospecting and Production and Gazprom zarubezhneftegaz.
The hydrocarbon deposit was opened in the Bao Vang structure in August 2007.
The first exploratory well in Bao Vang (VGP-111-BV-2X) was drilled in December 2009.
Well VGP-113-BV-3X was drilled to a depth of 1,600m by Vietgazprom in August this year.
