The hoisting of drill rig tower ZJ 70 DB took place today, 12 November, at the Shakhrinav-1P drilling site, located in the Sarikamysh area (36 km south-west of Dushanbe).
"This was one of the stages for preparing to drill the first exploratory well and was highly important with regard to the engineering aspects of the operation", said Igor Shatalov, deputy director of production at Gazprom zarubezhneftegaz's representation in the Republic of Tajikistan.
The assembly of the drill rig tower, which is 53 metres high, began in September this year. In accordance with construction requirements, the tower was assembled in a horizontal position.
Electrical installation work is currently continuing at the drill site, and the erection of auxiliary facilities is nearing completion. A wellhead cellar has been formed. Shipments of materials and equipment continue to arrive in Tajikistan within the context of the drilling work. All in all, 130 wagons of engineering cargo have been delivered to the Republic. This includes 15 wagons which arrived in the last 10 days.
