The Joint Operating Company Vietgazprom, a leader in exploration work on the continental shelf of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam, is promoting the application of the latest technology in this area. In this context, the company's representatives have taken part in a seminar on "New GIS and Well-Testing Technology", which took place from 10 to 12 April in Dalat in the Socialist Republic of Vietnam.
The seminar was organised by the Office of Development Geophysics - a subdivision of the joint venture company Vietsovpetro - together with Halliburton, a service provider in the oil-and-gas production sector.
Vietsovpetro and Halliburton introduced the seminar participants to their facilities and long-standing experience in the geophysical survey service provision market and in the well-testing field. The work of both companies is based on the latest methods of acquiring initial information and analytical processing of the data received.
Representatives from VNG PetroVietnam and joint oil-and-gas companies carrying out activities on Vietnamese soil were also amongst the seminar's participants.
