Representatives of the contractor organisations involved in the Gazprom International Shakhrinav-1p exploratory well-drilling project in the Sarikanysh Area in Tajikistan, visited the drilling area on 28 January.
The working group, accompanied by Head of the Tajikistan Representation of Gazprom International Zinaida Krassii, and Head of ZAO Gazprom Zarubezhneftegaz Drilling Department (part of Gazprom International) Vladislav Semenov, included in particular Andrei Yefimov, Deputy Director-General of Orenburg Drilling Company, plus the Chief Project Engineer for the Scientific Research and Project Institute OOO VolgoUralNIPIGaz, and a number of representatives from other contractor companies.
After viewing the progress made by the drilling works, the guests participated in a production conference held in the Gazprom International representation building in Dushanbe.
Gazprom International is conducting geological research in four areas with oil and gas potential in Tajikistan: Sarikanysh, Sargazon, Rengan and West Shokhambary.
Since December 2010, OOO Orenburg Drilling Company has been drilling in the Shakhrinav structure in the Sarikanysh area, which has potential. The planned depth of the Shakhrinav-1p well is 6,300 m. The well has now reached 3,450 m. Drilling is being conducted using the Verti Trak automated vertical shaft trajectory support system.
The Scientific Research and Project Institute OOO VolgoUralNIPIGaz is conducting a full cycle of geological research works to ready projects in drilling, development and restoration of oil and gas condensate deposits containing sulphur and hydrogen.
