Moscow. 27 October. INTERFAX – The heads of a number of Russian companies operating in the oil and gas sector received government awards from the Socialist Republic of Vietnam.
The award ceremony took place on Monday in the Kremlin at the end of negotiations between Russian Federation president Dmitry Medvedev and the Vietnamese president, Nguyen Minh Triet.
In particular, the Vietnamese government awards were presented to Nikolai Brunich, CEO of Zarubezhneft; Aleksei Miller, chairman of the board of Gazprom; Nikolai Tokarev, chief executive of Transneft; Valery Gulev, CEO of Zarubezhneftegaz; and his deputy, Viktor Belogurov.
The president of the Russian Federation in his turn signed a decree concerning the awarding of the Order of Friendship to a number of Vietnamese citizens for their great contribution to the development of Russian-Vietnamese scientific and technical collaboration. Among the awardees are Nguyen Kxhoi Fam, Minister for Natural Resources and the Environment; Hai Man Bui, Deputy Minister for Science and Technology; also a member of the administration for the Ministry for National Defence; the director of the Medical Military academy for the Ministry of National Defence; and the deputy minister who is the deputy head of the Vietnamese government office.
