Gazprom International and the international oil service company FMC Technologies reached an agreement on the development of cooperation in implementation of PJSC Gazprom international gas projects.
An official ceremony of signing the Memorandum of Cooperation between the two companies was held on October, 7 in St. Petersburg within the framework of the VI International Gas Forum. The ceremony was attended by Andrey Fick, Managing Director and CEO of Gazprom International, a specialized enterprise for implementing Gazprom’s international upstream projects, andHaakon Helgesen, Director of Prospective Development Department, FMC Kongsberg Subsea AS,and a number of senior officials from both companies.
It is expected that the document will first and foremost allow the partners to work more closely on expert evaluation of the promising offshore projects involving the use of subsea well drilling and completion systems.
Using the conceptual engineering methods of FMC Technologies will allow applying the advanced technical and technological solutions in projects implementation at the stages of exploration, development drilling and hydrocarbon production using optimal infrastructure solutions.
The Memorandum also includes professional training for Gazprom International specialists at FMC Technologies training facilities involving specialists in various engineering disciplines related to well engineering, operation of subsea production units and wellhead equipment, as well as material science.
