Full-scale testing of the control system has begun at the Shakhrinav-1P well
Full-scale testing of the control system of the drilling rig ZJ 70 DB took place yesterday, 21 November, at the Shakhrinav-1P drilling site, located in the Sarikamysh area (36 km south-west of Dushanbe).
The testing is intended to check the synchronised working of the four diesel-generator installation, which has a power of 1,320 kilowatts, to check that balanced distribution of electricity between the actuators is ensured, and to control their work with the help of master units that output information concerning the process onto an operator's computerised control panel.
Therefore the electronic control system is used to coordinate and conduct monitoring of the work of all of the drilling rig's facilities from one central point.
The testing of the control system is important and is an integral technological part in preparing the machines for drilling the well.
At the same time, work is being carried out at the drill site on the assembly of the drilling rig's overhead drive. The overhead drive system is principally a new type of drilling rig mechanism which ensures a rise in the quality level of the technological drilling process, significant savings in time by increasing the length of drill pipes, and the safety of personnel.
Drilling rig ZJ 70 DB was installed on the field on 12 November.
Gazprom zarubezhneftegaz is planning to start drilling the first exploratory well at the beginning of December this year.

The Sarikamysh field is estimated to have the best prospects from all of Gazprom's four licensed areas.
Shakhrinav 1-P, located in the Sarikamysh area, is the deepest well in the Republic of Tajikistan. It is 6,300 metres deep.
